Each suite include of a large bedroom, a private living room and a bathroom (shower or bath) with private toilets. Although in the city center, the house is very quiet because it is surrounded by quiet pedestrian streets. In addition, we have undertaken major soundproofing works (soundproofing, double glazied windows...) to ensure your comfort.

Created by the owner, Lætitia Krumenacher, landscape architect, it is a cloister of silence and beauty overhung by the tower of the cathedral. On its terraces, guests can enjoy breakfast, homemade pastries, a glass of champagne or a cup of tea. Or just dreaming.

The attention to detail here is second to none. From antique embroidered linen napery to the exquisite delicacies for breakfast, nothing is hasty, commercial or formulaic. You feel as if you are a private guest in a treasured home, one where traditional standards are reverently maintained. But this doesn't make it stuffy or old fashioned - no, the sense of fun and theatre in the decor is exciting and stimulating. Everything is confidently executed and the standard of finish is high. If you love the predictability of international 5-star hotels, then you may be uneasy about this place with its very individualistic style. But if you prefer adventure, originality and utter charm, you will love it. The bed was a dream, the water hot and plentiful, the books intriguing, and the chatelaine the very incarnation of kindness and care. The courtyard garden is a masterclass in shade gardening. We will go back whenever the chance allows.

Something special!
We travel often and we have stayed in hundreds of hotels, B&B’s, apartments, etc. Le Jardin de la Cathédrale is something special! The staff are amazing! They were pleasant, polite, and overly helpful. We felt completely taken cared of from beginning to end. The location is perfectly located between solitude and popular attractions. The rooms are beautiful! The garden is beautiful. The breakfast was one of the best meals we’ve ever had! Everything is prepared with attention to detail, and nothing was forgotten. We will recommend Le Jardin de la Cathédrale to all of our family and friends. We look forward to visiting again! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Sumptuous, luxurious and quirky
We booked here for a little get-away from it all. It was just what we were looking for: the moment you step through the gates of this charming chambre d'hôtes you leave the world behind. You step into a luxurious fairytale of a house, of which each room is carefully furnished by the owners with tremendous attention to detail and authenticity. Decorations are eclectic, gilded mirrors, old prints, and -in our room- a stuffed goose, but never overwhelming. The colours a sumptuous, the bed linen luxurious, and as our host said "one sleeps well here". Perhaps the biggest treat was the breakfast in the walled garden, where we enjoyed local produce: crusty bread as only the French can make, plums from the owner's garden and cheeses from the neighbourhood.

Simply lovely
We chose this chambre d’hôte based on the great reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The location is perfect, right by the cathedral (fortunately the bells don’t ring between 10pm and 7am). The B&B itself has five stunning bedrooms packed with antiques in a medieval building with a lovely central garden. Everything is spotlessly clean, with attention to detail so that guests have all they need. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, using local produce (yoghurt, fruit compote, croissants, two sort of bread, cheese, coffee, apple juice, home made jam, granola) - we were so full that we skipped lunch. Our bedroom had a long gallery balcony which was great to chill on when we weren’t sightseeing, and we were joined by the friendly, fluffy hotel cat. Laëtitia and Isabelle were perfect hosts.

Sehr schöner Garten, schöne antike Dekoration, Zimmer sehr groß, tolles liebevolles Frühstück, sehr moderne und hochwertige Ausstattung des Bades, äußerst charmante Gastgeberin, bequemes großes Bett. Es war rundum perfekt!

Amazing place to stay
From the moment we arrived we were taken aback by the style and quality of this unique Chambre D’hote. In an amazing central location next to the Cathedral and parking free nearby. It is well worth the extra cost over other Hotels locally and everyone we spoke to said it had been their best place to stay in France so far.
Rooms are decorated beautifully with a unique, quirky style and have views of the inner courtyard garden or the Cathedral.
Dinner isn’t available here so you need to do some research as to where to eat out in Troyes, sadly their recommendation of Chez Felix wasn’t brilliant at all.
We will definitely be back when passing through Troyes.

Beautiful stay
A one night stay for my husband's birthday and what a treat for us both. We were greeted so warmly and offered homemade cake and iced tea in the garden. Our room was perfect and so comfortable. Breakfast the next day in the garden was also perfect and delicious. Lætitia is a wonderful host and her home is beautiful.
